The MJX Mission

The Maryland Jewish Experience is a campus-based organization dedicated to extending Jewish learning opportunities to the broadest spectrum of Jewish students at the University of Maryland, College Park. Through timely classes, lively discussions, transformative trips and other programming, our goal is to inspire a life-long love affair with Jewish learning and living. Further, we encourage the development of a vibrant, tolerant campus community in which every Jew is welcomed and valued.

The Maryland Jewish Experience recognizes that Jewish growth is a perpetual process, and that each student, emerging from his or her unique Jewish background, must develop at his or her own pace. We are committed to offering guidance and opportunities at each step of a student’s personal Jewish journey.

What is The Maryland Jewish Experience?

The Maryland Jewish Experience is a non-profit Jewish educational organization based in College Park, MD, servicing Jewish students in the University of Maryland, College Park population. Who funds The Maryland Jewish Experience?

The Maryland Jewish Experience is funded exclusively by private philanthropists who are concerned with Jewish identity and education among college students across the world. Meor provides the bulk of the MJX budget, which is supplemented by local fundraising efforts by MJX staff.
